Initial teacher training is delivered in French and English, over two academic years split into four semesters. It combines subject knowledge, teaching skills, and practical placements in schools.
Two main areas structure the training program.
Teaching skills are at the heart of the program. Learners develop the ability to design suitable activities, master classroom management, communicate effectively, and handle interpersonal relationships.
Students learn the school curricula of the various subjects, as well as the most recent teaching methods.
Theory is paired with supervised hands-on practice, in real classrooms.
Premiers stages d'observation auprès d'instituteurs en exercice, dès le premier semestre.
Prise en charge progressive d'une classe, sous la supervision directe d'un formateur.
Stage de fin de formation, évalué en vue de la délivrance du diplôme d'instituteur.
